MEET THE STAFF
Roberta L. Royce, Executive Director
Roberta has been employed at The WLC since our opening in 2001. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. She holds a Lead Teacher & Director's credential with the NH Child Development Bureau. She is also a recipient of the Henry Morgan Award. She has over 100 workshop hours, is trained in Mother Goose Cares about Math and Social Studies curriculum, is a member of NAEYC, and is certified in First Aid/CPR. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren and loves to read. She lives in Winchester with her husband Scott.
Melissa Lutz, Administrative Coordinator
Missy has been with the WLC for five years. She manages the day to day adminstrative duties. She holds a Lead Teacher credential from the NH Child Development Bureau. She has obtained workshop hours, is CPR/First Aid certified is a member of NAEYC and is currently enrolled at River Valley Community College. Missy lives in Richmond with her husband Leighton and four of her children.
Donna Howland, Toddler Lead
Donna has been with WLC since 2001 when we opened. She has an Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy. She holds a Lead Teacher credential from the NH Child Development Bureau and is working towards her Director credential. She is trained in Mother Goose Cares about Math and Social Studies curriculum, has over 100 workshop hours, is certified in CPR/First Aid and is a member of NAEYC. She enjoys knitting, reading and spending time with her boys. Donna lives in Winchester with her cats.
Laura Tarr, Toddler Associate, Lead Qualified
Laura has been employed at the WLC over seven years. She holds a Lead credential with the NH Child Development Bureau. She is trained in Mother Goose Cares curriculum, is a member of NAEYC and has multiple workshop hours.
Laura works with children because for her "it is the most gratifying and happiest job she could ever think of. It feeds her soul." When she is lucky enough to find spare tiem seh likes to garden, listen to music, paint and remodel her ol house. Oh and shopping. She has lived in Winchester for 9 years with her hubby & son & doggy.
Meredith Manning, Toddler Associate
Meredith has been employed at WLC for a year. She graduated from Keene High School in 2008 where she completed two years of the Early Childhood Education Program. She is currently enrolled at River Valley Community college, she is a member of NAEYC, she holds an Associates credential with the NH Child Development Bureau, has workshop hours and is certified in CPR/First Aid.
Meredith works with children because she feels that it is very rewarding to watch children learn and grow. In her spare time she reads, she also enjoys playing with her puppy CoCo, she likes to cook and when she has the chance dabble in photography. She lives in Ashuelot with CoCo.
Angela Royce, Preschool Lead
Angela has been employed at WLC for 4 years and worked as a volunteer for two years before that. She graduated from Keene High School in 2008 and completed two years of the Early Childhood Education Program. She was the president of the FCCLA. She holds an Associate Teacher credential with the NH Child Development Bureau, she is currently enrolled at River Valley Community college, she has multiple workshop hours, is a member of NAEYC and is certified in CPR/First Aid.
Angela works with children because she enjoys exposing children to new experiences and learning opportunities. In her spare time she enjoys snowmobiling, working out at the gym and spending time with her family.
Samantha Lutz, Associate Teacher
Samantha has been with the Winchester Learning Center for three years. She a graduate of Monadnock Regional High School. She is currently enrolled in River Valley Community Colleger pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has multiple workshop hours, is CPR/First Aid certified, a member of NAEYC and has completed course work.
Samantha brings the experience and joy of childhood to the center. She loves children and watching and encouraging their growth and development. She lives in Swanzey with a room mate and her puppy cooper. She enjoys spending time with friends & her siblings, shopping and Cooper.
Rebecca Hildreth, Cook/Assistant Teacher
Rebecca has been recently employed to fill the WLC cook position. She also opens our program and works with the children when needed. Rebecca brings past experience and a love for cooking to the program. She is currently enrolled at River Valley Community college in Early Childhood Education. She is CPR/First Aid certified and eager to attend workshops.
Rebecca has always loved to cook. She also loves working with children because she enjoys teaching new things and helping them do crafts and activities. She lives in Winchester with her two children.
